Our steady growth can be contributed to customer trust; quality of our employees; focus on safe work; high standards to always do it the right way; and our mission to deliver excellence with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement, and the vision to be recognized as the premier provider for the services that we provide.Shore Tankerman Objective This is a shore based Tankerman role that is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of tank barges which includes the connecting and disconnecting of hoses and dock arms and proper valve alignment, monitoring of liquid levels and monitoring the transfer system to safely allow for cargo transfer operations. These activities may occur at vessels alongside dock at refineries and chemical plants.Credential / Education Requirements Valid Merchant Mariner's Credential (MMC) & Medical CertificateValid TWICValid driver's license and current auto insuranceHigh school diploma or GEDBenefits 100% company provided employee medical insurance100% company provided Short-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceCompany provided Life InsuranceMatching 401(k)Profit SharingPaid Time OffEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramGeneral Responsibilities Embraces and demonstrates the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Team Services in all actions and activitiesTravels to work site within the allowable time frame when called by Team Services Logistics CoordinatorsSafely transports all needed PPE, tools, equipment, food and water from vehicle to dockInitiates the risk-based JHA provided in the Team Services log book prior to accessing barge and starting work and updates accordingly for each taskDocuments accurate times and required job information in the log bookMaintains 3-points of contact during access and egressVerifies work orders on Field Communication device align with Facility PIC, Vessel crew and cargo inspector to ensure that all order match those of the customer and Team ServicesSigns security log of the attending vessel prior to starting workWears all required PPE for task and cargo to be handled in accordance with Company, customer and facility requirementsPerforms inspection of the barge and verifies that all systems and cargo hoses are in suitable condition to ensure operations can be conducted safely and that all machinery is to be operated in sound condition with proper fluid levelsConducts Pre-Transfer conference in accordance with USCG and for loading operations requests an initial flow no higher than indicated on the vessel oil transfer proceduresSigns off on the USCG required Declaration of Inspection prior to transferMaintains the vessel copy of the DOI throughout the transfer and leaves the DOI in the appropriate location after transfer is complete ensuring that the commencement and completion times are documentedInitiates Stop Work Obligation if any unsafe conditions arise during the operationMakes rounds every 15 minutes to inspect pump, machinery, and pipelines for leaks and cargo level in tanks and adjusting as required throughout the operationAchieves the request draft, quantity or stop gauge as requested or empties the barge to satisfaction of the customer in discharge operationsConducts Line clearing operations according to Performance StandardsDisconnects dock arm or hose and completes required paperwork once transfer is completeCloses all valves, hatches, picks up any remaining trash and ensure barge is ready for sailReports all times and required information to Logistics prior to departing facilityMay be assigned other duties as neededSafety and Rescue Requirements Ensure safe working conditions and orderliness of the vesselMaintain safe, sanitary working conditionsFollow all company safety rules, United States Coast Guard and environmental regulationsWear safety equipment as required by company procedure , including: gloves, steel toes boots, goggles, rubber boots, slicker suits, respirator, five (5) minute escape pack or negative pressure respirator or supplied airline respiratorAssist in safety and rescue operations in emergency situationsAssist in emergency firefighting, use firefighting equipment and spill containment equipmentLearning and Training Requirements Spill containment and cleanupMSDS sheets and emergency action informationVideo training information addressing safetySafety meetingsBenzene training#J-18808-Ljbffr
