    Job Description

    As a Security Officer - Access Control - Part Time in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more.

    As an Access Control Officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to residents and visitors. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in all interactions.

    Position Type: Part Time

    Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour

    Job Schedule:

    DayTime:

    Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

    Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
    • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for the residential location.
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
    • Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance needs, or unusual observations according to site protocols.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
    • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
    • South Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
