    Job Description
    Responsibilities will include the following:

    Assists the Civil and Small Claims Supervisor in overseeing daily operations, training staff, and ensuring compliance with court policies, procedures, rules, and statutes. Participates in recruitment, hiring, employee evaluation, and performance management activities. Monitors workflow quality and efficiency, provides guidance and support to staff, and helps develop and implement process improvements.

    Responds to inquiries regarding civil, small claims, appeals, and post-conviction relief procedures, and serves as a resource to court personnel throughout the Third Judicial District. Prepares reports and statistical data, and collaborates with court leadership on matters related to the administration and processing of civil and small claims cases.
    Note: A brief writing exercise will be administered during the interview.
    The Work Schedule

    Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND two years of office clerical work experience.

    Substitutions:

    Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a year-for-year basis.

    Completion of 72 semester credit hours or 96 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the two years of required office clerical work experience.

    Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical work experience on a month-for-month basis.
