    Marine Systems Technician

    At Freeman Boatworks, we build industry-leading high-performance catamaran fishing boats known for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. We are looking for a Marine Systems Technician to support our 56 line with troubleshooting, rigging, warranty work, and customer support both in-house and in the field.

    This role is ideal for someone with strong marine systems knowledge who enjoys problem solving, working hands-on, and supporting customers at a high level.

    What We're Looking For
    • Experience with marine electrical and mechanical systems
    • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
    • Comfortable working independently and traveling as needed
    • Professional communication skills with customers and vendors
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment
    What You'll Be Doing
    • Diagnose and repair marine systems on Freeman 56 models
    • Support warranty and service-related repairs
    • Troubleshoot and service:
      • Diesel generators (Fischer Panda, Northern Lights, Onan preferred)
      • Air conditioning systems
      • Ice makers
      • Chiller plates
      • Water makers
      • General 12V rigging systems
    • Coordinate with vendors and technical support teams
    • Document and report work performed
    • Travel for field service and customer support as needed
    • Assist with sea trials and boat handling when required
    Preferred Experience
    • Familiarity with Mercury V10/V12 outboards
    • ABYC certification
    • Marine electronics experience including MFDs, radars, and stereos
    • Fiberglass and basic gelcoat repair experience
    • Boat handling experience on vessels up to 60'
    Travel Requirements
    • Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice
    • Ability to travel for periods up to one week
    • Valid passport or ability to obtain one
