    Description:

    As part of the newly established Early Childhood Council for Jefferson, Gilpin, and Clear Creek Counties, we are seeking a collaborative and strategic Early Childhood Supervisor to lead the implementation and coordination of all Council activities. This role provides leadership in partnership operations, staff supervision, strategic initiative implementation, grant and contract management, and cross-sector collaboration that supports children, families, providers, and community systems across the region. The Early Childhood Supervisor ensures alignment across initiatives, partnerships, and staff roles while advancing the new Council’s Strategic Plan, the Bright Futures Roadmap, and Colorado’s early childhood priorities.

    SCHEDULE:

    This position will be expected to work with community partners and staff members and needs to allow for a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Please note this position also allows for a hybrid work schedule, both remote/community and in-office as determined by business.

    COMPENSATION:

    Hiring Range: $91,252.29 - $111,530.57 USD Annual

    Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    In This Role You Will:
    • Provide oversight and direction for day-to-day operations of the Gateway Partnership for Early Childhood, the new Early Childhood Council for Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, grant deliverables, and community needs.
    • Supervise and support staff, contractors, interns, and consultants implementing Gateway Partnership initiatives and programs.
    • Lead implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with the Gateway Partnership Strategic Plan, Bright Futures Roadmap, and Colorado early childhood systems priorities.
    • Coordinate collaborative partnerships with childcare providers, school districts, local governments, community organizations, public agencies, and state partners.
    • Oversee grant and contract management activities including budgeting, reporting, compliance, deliverables, and fiscal monitoring.
    • Facilitate cross-sector collaboration, systems-building efforts, and community engagement activities that strengthen equitable access to early childhood services and supports.
    • Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives related to early childhood systems coordination, family support, provider engagement, and community partnerships.
    • Use data and continuous quality improvement (CQI) practices to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and support strategic planning and reporting.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on Colorado early childhood systems, including Early Childhood Councils, Universal Preschool (UPK), Colorado Shines, and CDEC initiatives.
    • Represent the Gateway Partnership on local, regional, and statewide committees, coalitions, and collaborative initiatives.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience: Three (3) years of work-related experience
    • Certifications/Licenses: None
    • Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable


    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Experience supervising staff and coordinating cross-sector initiatives or community partnerships.
    • Knowledge of Colorado early childhood systems, including Early Childhood Councils, Universal Preschool (UPK), Colorado Shines, CCCAP, and CDEC initiatives.
    • Experience managing grants, contracts, budgets, and program compliance requirements.
    • Strong facilitation, relationship-building, strategic planning, and project management skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to facilitate meetings and presentations with diverse shareholders.
    • Experience working in diverse communities and/or bilingual skills.
