Join Our Team as a Firefighter The Town of Hilton Head Island is looking for Firefighter/ EMTs and Firefighter/ Paramedics. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of firefighting, emergency response, public education, and related duties. The department responds to approximately 9700 incidents a year, with approximately 7300 being EMS related responses. What You Will Do. Respond to fire, emergency medical, and other emergency situations and carry out fire firefighting activities and other duties. Assume a designated position on an assigned apparatus and follows instructions. Participate in the preparation of pre-fire plans for occupancies in the Town. Administer aid in accordance with EMS protocols consistent with EMT certification level. May perform as a Relief Operator on a temporary basis. May serve as a member of the Special Operations Teams.
