Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $28.13 per hour.

This position will determine proper classification of inmates, determine placement into eligible programming and inmate release preparation.

The New Mexico Corrections Facilities
Ideal Candidate
Experience in the following:
* Assisting interdisciplinary teams in the evaluation of offenders
* Participating in follow-up services and providing monitoring of offenders
* Inmate Classification process
* The reentry process
* Application of Good Time Laws
* Monitoring activities using a tracking system
Minimum Qualification
Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in Guidance and Counseling, Penology, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Family Studies/Services, Criminology, or related field as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or experience in a correctional setting, records management, file auditing, case management, law enforcement, counseling, social work, government assistance programs, rehabilitative environment, working on health or social service-related matters, behavioral health, policy and/or statutory compliance totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
This position is designated as safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing, in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
