Summary
This position typically provides performance of general courtroom and legal work in the Goose Creek Magistrate Office; and deals courteously and effectively with fellow employees and citizens. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Serves the public with eviction notices, writs of ejectment, claim and deliveries, small claims summonses and other court related documents. Prepares, maintains and files accurate records as to the service of documents. Performs data entry of court documents. Attends court hearings. May assist in preparation of courtrooms with necessary supplies and ensures equipment is working. May assist with the jurors for jury trials. Assists bailiff in the courtroom during proceedings as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
