Total Staffing Solutions powered by TTR is seeking two Security Guards to support inventory protection and site safety at a busy distribution center in Joliet, Illinois. These are full-time positions.
Security Guard Position Overview
This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure warehouse environment by protecting inventory and monitoring site activity. The position requires continuous standing, walking, and strong attention to safety protocols.
Security Guard Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard warehouse inventory and prevent loss or theft
- Conduct routine patrols throughout the facility
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Utilize security equipment, including metal detectors
- Respond to incidents using proper safety and emergency procedures
- Maintain a professional and visible presence onsite
Security Guard Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Candidates with their own security uniform and metal detector equipment will be prioritized and eligible for the top pay rate
- Strong security awareness and emergency response skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Must wear proper security uniform at all times
- Experience using metal detectors or willingness to learn
- Must undergo pre-employment screening such as background check
Work Environment
Fast-paced warehouse setting with a high level of activity. This role requires long periods of standing and walking, along with strong attention to detail and safety.
