Job Description
Total Staffing Solutions powered by TTR is seeking two Security Guards to support inventory protection and site safety at a busy distribution center in Joliet, Illinois. These are full-time positions, the pay is $21.00 per hour. The shift schedule is as follows: Tuesday - Friday 02:30 PM - 12:30 PM.
Security Guard Position Overview
This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure warehouse environment by protecting inventory and monitoring site activity. The position requires continuous standing, walking, and strong attention to safety protocols.
Security Guard Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard warehouse inventory and prevent loss or theft
- Conduct routine patrols throughout the facility
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Utilize security equipment, including metal detectors
- Respond to incidents using proper safety and emergency procedures
- Maintain a professional and visible presence onsite
Security Guard Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of security experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred. Candidates with their own security uniform and metal detector equipment will be prioritized and eligible for the top pay rate. Strong security awareness and emergency response skills. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Must wear proper security uniform at all times. Experience using metal detectors or willingness to learn. Must undergo pre-employment screening such as background check.
Work Environment
Fast-paced warehouse setting with a high level of activity. This role requires long periods of standing and walking, along with strong attention to detail and safety.
