Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer and senior intelligence analyst engaging in semi-complex to complex technical analysis and production of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of customer requirements.
Duties
DUTIES:
- Serves as the wing and subordinate unit expert on all Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) matters and operations for the Wing Commander/civilian equivalent, including all intelligence analysis, intelligence processes, support requirements, technical aspects of weapons systems, adversary operational methods as well as daily integrated intelligence support in alert, crisis, and force protection situations.
- Organizes, plans, and oversees the activities of the unit's intelligence operations and training programs. Serves as ISR expert on assigned mission design series (MDS), providing guidance, knowledge, and expertise to higher headquarters staff.
- Responsible to lead, plan, and manage the units' ISR readiness and mobility. Exercises responsibility and authority for planning and managing command/control oversight and tasking of intelligence forces conducting/supporting operations supporting the U.S. Air Force, DoD, and COCOM combat operations, and peacekeeping/peace building operations worldwide.
- Responsible to lead, plan and manage the unit ISR deployment program. Prepares and conducts pre-deployment spin-up training for leadership, intelligence personnel, aircrew, greatly enhancing mission success and aircrew survivability.
- Ensures the ISR function maintains capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations. Serves as an AFRC ISR expert, interfacing with AFRC, MAJCOMs, COCOMs, AOCs, and AF ISR Operations Centers as required.
- Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities for one or more subordinate personnel. Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates, considers difficulty of assignments and capabilities of employees, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
