- Establishes jobs and performance requirements.
- Performs as shift supervisor over crew chiefs, truck drivers and journeyman firefighters engaged in all activities relative to fire prevention, fire fighting, inspection and standby at air field.
- Serves as the Incident Commander with a specialization in Operations.
- In concert with the chief and other supervisors, develops plans, procedures, methods, and techniques to provide and sustain an efficient and effective fire suppression and rescue force.
- Makes decisions and takes command to ensure that mutual aid support is also requested to protect installation personnel and government assets when required
- Responds and takes charge on emergency calls and urgent calls for assistance.
