    Security Officer Position

    We are seeking full-time Florida Class D licensed security officers to join our security team at our Westside Jacksonville facility. This position is responsible for enforcing access control, providing facility support, and assisting with safety and emergency procedures. Ideal candidates will be professional, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.

    This role operates on a consistent 12-hour shift rotation offering a stable, full-time schedule.

    Key Responsibilities of the Security Officer
    • Answer and respond to incoming calls, emails, and messages.
    • Staff the front desk, greeting residents and visitors while providing facility information.
    • Enforce entry rules for restricted parking and secure access points.
    • Lock and unlock access points daily at 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
    • Assist with traffic coordination during high-traffic or shift change periods.
    • Maintain and distribute updated security manuals and tech procedures.
    • Ensure waste pickup drivers sign proper documentation.
    • Use checkpoint systems and tools to log guard metrics and patrols.
    • Track and document locker assignments and access records.
    Security and Safety Duties
    • Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance to deter theft and suspicious activity.
    • Respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
    • Administer first aid and CPR in emergency situations (certification preferred).
    • Support hurricane preparedness, evacuation, and post-storm response.
    • Respond to pipe bursts and assist with emergency shut-offs.
    • Participate in fire drills and respond to real-time incidents.
    • Guide and assist visitors with safe entry and navigation.
    • Use golf carts for perimeter patrols, parking control, and site inspection.
    • Handle bloodborne pathogen incidents using proper protocols.
    • Assist during lockdown events per training.
    Skills and Qualifications of the Security Officer
    • Valid Florida Class D security license required.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • First aid/CPR (preferred or willing to obtain).
    • Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
    • Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
    • Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital reports, email, and checkpoint systems.
    • Prior experience in security, military is a plus.
