Summary
EMS Program Instructor
This position will be responsible for delivering all levels of the EMS program classes as assigned and must be willing to teach a variety of methodologies. The instructor will also be responsible for course instruction and classroom management.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Teaching classroom/laboratory/clinical sessions
- Assessment of student learning
- Responsibility for materials and supplies
- Assignments may also include teaching at multiple sites during the course, as class may be held at various IWCC campuses.
Required:
- Current State of Iowa license
- Knowledge of current National EMS Education Standards
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record
Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require light lifting. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, telephone, faxes, and copiers
