We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Code Enforcement Officer to join our team of professionals. This position offers a great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of assignments and contribute to meaningful community projects.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform field inspections for rental housing programRead and examine plans and specifications when requiredReport violations and maintain files/recordsPerform other related duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE & SKILLSInterpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code-compliant solutionsAbility to work with all levels of management; strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to establish priorities, work independently in a rapidly changing environment, and function as group leader.Must possess the ability to positively interact with staff, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele.Good time management, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCETDLR Code Enforcement Officer II licensure requiredICC International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) Certification a plus1+ years of experience in security, enforcement, or compliance-related work including investigating allegations, conducting research and resolving complaints, concerns or conflictsExperience in building, construction, or trades highly desiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredValid Driver's License and good driving record requiredCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSSAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a comprehensive benefit offering.
