REQUIREMENTS:Minimum five years law enforcement, corrections or active military armed experience
Must currently own a full-size Glock or Smith & Wesson in either 9mm or .40 caliber or Sig Sauer, Beretta, CZ-USA, etc. Must be full size (minimum 4.25" barrel length) and CT compliant magazine where it doesn't hold more than 10 rounds.
EXCELLENT BENEFITS INCLUDING:
Wages
- Guaranteed wage increases each year (2025-2028) tied to the Connecticut Standard Wage Act.
- Minimum 4 hours' pay if called in or if a scheduled shift is cancelled without notice.
- Overtime after 40 hours/week at time-and-a-half.
- At least 1 day off per week.
- No more than 16 hours in a 24-hour period (except extreme circumstances).
- Paid 30-minute lunch where practicable; unpaid if fully relieved.
- Right to sit at reasonable intervals on standing posts.
- Full-time (=30 hrs/week avg over 90 days)
- No waiting period for coverage.
