    Security Engineer III - Data Loss Prevention (DLP)About the RoleWe are seeking a Security Engineer III specializing in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to lead the deployment, management, and optimization of enterprise data protection solutions. This role is responsible for safeguarding sensitive information across cloud, endpoint, web, and email environments.You will take ownership of DLP platforms, strengthen technical controls, reduce false positives, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with IT, DevOps, Compliance, and Incident Response teams while mentoring junior engineers and influencing security strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platformsDesign, implement, and fine-tune DLP policies to detect and prevent unauthorized data exfiltrationOptimize detection logic to reduce false positives and improve alert qualityMonitor platform health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain operational stabilitySupport incident response efforts and collaborate with threat detection teamsConduct threat modeling and vulnerability remediation initiativesAutomate security configurations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code toolsEnrich alert workflows with contextual data and refine response playbooksTranslate technical risks into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholdersMentor junior security engineers and contribute to continuous process improvementRequired Qualifications3–5+ years of experience in Information Security or Data ProtectionBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)Hands-on experience with DLP tools such as:SymantecMicrosoft PurviewZscalerPalo Alto DLP platformsStrong understanding of data protection methodologies including:Encryption (data at rest and in transit)Data maskingTokenizationExperience working with data classification frameworksWorking knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)Familiarity with cloud, network, and application security principlesPreferred QualificationsExperience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-codeBackground in threat modeling and vulnerability managementExperience supporting incident response operationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersCompensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits including:Health, dental, and vision coverageRetirement plan with employer contributionsGenerous paid time offProfessional development resourcesFlexible work options where applicable#J-18808-Ljbffr
