Are you passionate about driving innovation, solving complex challenges, and making a tangible impact?The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security Systems Engineering (AS2E) team provides operational support for security services in US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Regions. The team is focused on doing more with less by improving operational health and reducing manual toil for these security services. The team delivers high-impact, high-visibility projects, and you have the opportunity to join us!This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.Key job responsibilities Automate repetitive tasks, influence partner teams, and optimize team processes.Diagnose and fix production software issues in languages such as Typescript, Python, Bash, Ruby, and others.Develop tools, automation and monitoring solutions to reduce manual toil and improve operational excellence.Design new systems, review code, perform design reviews, and contribute to org-wide initiatives to improve the builder experience.Basic Qualifications Associate's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)1+ years of systems development experienceExperience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructureExperience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, RustExperience with Linux/UnixCurrent, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with PolygraphPreferred Qualifications Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processesExperience with distributed systems at scaleBenefits The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
