You will conduct regular visits to business and residential locations and respond to complaints filed. The position requires vigilance and the ability to quickly address unexpected challenges. Strong people skills, excellent customer service, and a willingness to assist others are essential.QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IHigh school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalencyPreferred: Associate's Degree in general studiesRequires one (1) year of experience in code enforcement or a related fieldPreferred: Three (3) years of experience in Code Enforcement and Health Food Establishment InspectionsMust obtain a Code Enforcement Officer License from a recognized agency within one (1) year of employmentMust obtain Food Manager Certification within one (1) year of employmentMust hold a current valid Texas “C” driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordBilingual English/Spanish preferredTo excel, you should be able to handle multiple tasks, communicate effectively, be detail‑oriented, work well as part of a team, and demonstrate dependability.READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you have the required skills and are prepared to succeed as a Code Enforcement Officer I, apply now through our mobile‑friendly application.Location: 78541Applicants will undergo a complete background investigation.
