    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To operate the marinator tumbler and mix ingredients and record pertinent information on designated forms and communicate with supervisor, support and other. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that all instructions for marination mixture and the amount of productflow are followed and comprehend the marination paperwork. Sets up paperwork and scales prior to start of shift and order all seasonings for each mix and ingredients and any product needed for that day's orders. Tracks time of batches from start to finish while communicating to support how much product is needed for each batch. Takes temperature of marinator mix and each batch marinated during shift and helps marinate for other lines as needed. Works with process control to weigh pieces of product per batch and documents weight as well as record any downtime for the department. Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization. Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives: This position description is intended to guide the activities of the Marinator and is not intended to limit the thinking and creativity of the person to the work of this function nor is it intended that this describe all the work that may be required of the person in this position. Physical Activities: Stand on feet for entire shift. Will need to stoop, extend arms, push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds while working in a cold, hot, wet, noisy environment. Occasional squatting, fine manipulation/feeling with the hands, pushing/pulling, repetitive motion of the shoulders, arms and hands. Frequent twisting at the neck and waist, reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Constant walking, standing, bending at the neck and waist, climbing stairs, simple grasping, use of vision. Inside line work around loud equipment/machines; walking around drains, footbaths, hoses; occasional dust. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Std waterproof gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, slip resistant footwear, safety glasses, dust mask Travel: N/A Technical Experience: May be required to obtain and maintain company-issued pallet jack certification. Industry Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of prior experience. Preference for poultry or food processing organization. Minimum Education: Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Perform basic math. Have basic computer skills. Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED
