Physical Security (PhySec) Specialist
Location: Washington DC

Reports To: ARMADA HQ
Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
The Physical Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). This role ensures compliance with federal security standards and supports accreditation, inspections, and ongoing physical security operations to protect classified information and facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Physical Security Specialist will design, implement, and maintain physical security measures for SCIFs.
- Ensure and certify compliance with federal standards (e.g., ICD 705) for physical security, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- The Physical Security Specialist will conduct routine inspections, assessments, and audits to verify SCIF integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify security vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- The Physical Security Specialist will provide training and guidance on SCIF protocols and physical security procedures.
- Maintain accreditation documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
- The Physical Security Specialist will support SCIF accreditation, re-accreditation, and change management activities.
- Respond to physical security incidents and support investigations as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
The Physical Security Specialist must have the:
- Familiarity with access control systems, IDS, CCTV, and facility security procedures.
- Knowledge of ICD 705 and federal physical security standards for SCIF design, construction, and accreditation.
- Knowledge of SCIF accreditation and re-accreditation processes, including inspections, documentation, and change management.
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain physical security measures for classified facilities.
- Skill in conducting SCIF inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment methodologies and corrective action planning.
Minimum/General Experience:
- 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting SCIF design, accreditation, and maintenance.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
