Our client is seeking an Electronic Security Systems Technician for an exciting contract to hire opportunity. The Electronic Security Systems Technician should be someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking ownership of their work.DUTIESService, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low voltage systems, including:Intrusion alarm systemsAccess control systemsCCTV and video surveillanceVoice and data cablingDiagnose system issues and implement effective, timely solutionsPerform system testing, inspections, and preventative maintenanceRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentationProgram and configure systems as neededDocument service work clearly and accurately (reports, updates, system changes)Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team membersProvide on-site customer support and basic system trainingMaintain tools, test equipment, and (if assigned) company vehicleEnsure all work meets safety standards, company expectations, and applicable codesREQUIREMENTS2+ years of hands‑on experience in low voltage service or a similar roleSolid working knowledge of:Intrusion detection and alarm systemsAccess control systemsCCTV/video surveillanceStructured cabling (voice & data)Strong troubleshooting skills â you know how to find the problem and fix itAbility to work independently and manage your time effectivelyConfidence working in commercial, government, or high‑security environments (preferred)Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and test equipmentStrong organizational and documentation habitsCertifications & RequirementsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass background checks and obtain security clearance if requiredManufacturer certifications (Lenel, Avigilon, Honeywell, Genetec, CCure, etc.) are a plusBICSI, NICET, or similar certifications preferredKavaliro provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants.
