    Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance required (or active TS with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph)

    The Geospatial Imagery Production Specialist will support a government program focused on the preservation, digitization, and management of historical geospatial imagery and media. This role supports the conversion of legacy film and imagery into modern digital formats while ensuring quality, accuracy, and long-term accessibility of mission-critical GEOINT data.

    This is a hands-on position supporting digitization operations, film handling, scanning, metadata management, quality assurance, and digital storage activities.

    Your Impactful Duties:
    • Retrieve, handle, inspect, clean, repair, digitize, and store space-based and airborne film in a variety of formats.
    • Adhere to established procedures for retrieving film canisters from secure storage locations and preparing film for digitization.
    • Inspect film for defects, damage, and degradation; perform approved repairs and cleaning activities prior to scanning.
    • Digitize historical aerial and reconnaissance film using government-approved scanning equipment and established procedures.
    • Generate and process digital imagery products in TIFF, GeoTIFF, NITF, and other GEOINT-compatible formats.
    • Perform metadata tagging, indexing, conditioning, and file organization activities to support retrieval and archival requirements.
    • Execute quality assurance procedures to ensure digitized imagery meets established technical and operational standards.
    • Adhere to naming conventions and file management requirements to support long-term accessibility and traceability.
    • Transfer digitized imagery to network repositories and removable media while maintaining accurate documentation and tracking records.
    • Label, track, and document removable media in accordance with government procedures.
    • Support customer requests for historical imagery retrieval and digitization within established service timelines.
    • Maintain accurate records regarding digitization status, file locations, and production activities.
    • Assist with scanner setup, operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.
    • Support long-term preservation and archival efforts for historical imagery collections.
    • Utilize government-provided software and tools to support image processing, analysis, and data management activities.
    • Follow all security, safety, and handling procedures when working with classified materials and specialized equipment.
    • Coordinate with government personnel to support mission priorities and operational requirements.
    Knowledge of:
    • Experience or familiarity with:
      • Digitization and archival processes involving historical imagery, film, microfilm, microfiche, or related media.
      • Film scanning systems and digitization equipment.
      • GEOINT file formats, including TIFF, GeoTIFF, NITF, and NPJE.
      • Metadata tagging, indexing, and digital asset management.
      • GEOINT software applications such as ENVI, ArcGIS, IrfanView, Archive Manager, Google Earth, or similar tools.
      • Geotagging, georeferencing, and orthorectification concepts.
      • Cloud-based storage systems, tape storage solutions, and long-term data preservation methods.
      • Data transfer, storage management, and archival best practices.
      • Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and U.S. Government security classification systems.
      • OCR technologies and image processing concepts.
      • Microsoft Office applications.
    Requirements:
    • Active TS/SCI clearance or active TS clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
    • Ability to accurately distinguish colors and image characteristics across multiple film types and imaging systems.
    • Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, push carts weighing more than 45 pounds, and perform duties requiring prolonged standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and work at elevated heights.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
    • Ability to follow established technical, operational, and security procedures.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience supporting GEOINT, imagery exploitation, archival, or digitization programs.
    • Experience with Leica DSW, FlexView, FlexScan, NextStar, Phoenix, CopiBook, or similar scanning platforms.
    • Experience working within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense environments.
    • Familiarity with data preservation, archival repositories, and large-scale digitization initiatives.
