CORRECTIONAL OFFICERUnder general supervision, performs a variety of duties which ensure the discipline, safety & security of inmates sentenced to the confinement of the County Detention Center. Responsibilities include receiving and processing prisoners entering the facility by completing appropriate forms and paperwork, recording identifying information, searching prisoners, logging and storing personal items, fingerprints and photographing prisoners, and performing other related duties.Typical QualificationsMust have high school diploma or GED equivalent certificate.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must successfully complete the SC Criminal Justice Academy within the first year of employment and pass the physical requirements set forth by the SCCJA.Must pass an extensive background check and have a valid driver's license.Equal Opportunity Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
