Maintain Colorado Traffic Control Supervisor Certification

Have strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail

Responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control in work zones. Duties include:

  • Traffic control: Setting up and taking down lane closures, redirecting traffic for workers, and monitoring traffic patterns
  • Traffic control devices: Using traffic control devices to divert drivers and pedestrians
  • Equipment maintenance: Conducting routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections. Keep truck, tools, equipment in a professional and orderly manner
  • Job site safety: Following safety rules and regulations in all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in work area. Ensuring the job site is clean and secure, and picking up all tools and equipment
  • Communication: Communicating with construction crews and supervisors, and discussing performance, complaints, or violations
  • Compliance: Ensuring that tasks are completed in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations
  • Completing and turning in paperwork daily
  • Working as part of the Guildner Team. Performing other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must be able to successfully manage the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Hours of operation may vary based on staffing needs and workload.
  • Ability to lift 50-60 lbs. Accustomed to working mostly in the field, in all types of weather; with exposure to dust and asphalt, in traffic with fumes and loud noise levels
