The role supports library operations in a renovated branch and encourages customer interaction.ResponsibilitiesShelve all library materials in proper locations according to priority and Dewey Decimal Classification.Straighten and maintain shelf appearance for consistency and attractiveness.Review placement to identify shelving errors and correct them.Search for abandoned materials to add to the book truck or proper location.Assist customers with location questions.Maintain assigned sections through regular shelf‑reading and shifting.Complete pull‑item lists and retrieve materials as assigned.Assist in processing holds and incoming deliveries.Communicate areas of concern to supervisors for further maintenance.Package items into envelopes and/or bins for outgoing delivery.Monitor book drop area for material returns.QualificationsAbility to arrange items in a specific order according to a set of rules.Work independently with minimal supervision.Knowledgeable about the Dewey Decimal Classification System.Skilled at recognizing differences in detail.Ability to learn Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail).No prior experience or training required; previous library volunteer experience is a plus.BenefitsCompetitive starting pay of $15.00 per hour.12 hours per week; schedule subject to change.#J-18808-Ljbffr
