Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual who will manage shipping/receiving & material handling for day-to-day operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining an organized and efficient production facility by supporting both shipping/receiving and production operations in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
Education/Experience
- GED Required
- One-to-Three (1-3) years Logistics experience preferred
- Two plus (2+) years of Forklift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Unload materials from delivery vehicles using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Assist with material transport throughout the facility using forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, conveyors, etc.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements
- Accurately enter shipping and receiving data into the ERP System
- Label, organize, and store materials in the correct inventory locations
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or damages
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and shipments.
- Other ad hoc assignments
Job Requirements
- Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch. (Passing a written test is required)
- Experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong math, verbal, and literacy skills
- Ability to manually lift 100 lbs safely and consistently
- Experienced in the operation of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, conveying systems, etc.
- Possess personable, outgoing communication skills to converse with diverse groups of people
- Detail-oriented with strong planning skills; able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate professionalism and responsiveness in addressing internal and external service requests.
- Ability to self-monitor work for accuracy and quality; receptive to feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement
- Communicate, understand, and perform complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Possess dependability to be consistently at work and on time
- Possess a "Team" mentality with the ability to lead others and manage competing work demands
Available Schedule
- Four 10-hour days. Monday - Thursday (Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 6:00am - 4:30pm
- Overtime is available
