Dispatch Assitant

Job Title

Bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

Track all dispatched drivers throughout their tasks to ensure no delays to or from customer locations.

Complete a dispatch log to document all dispatches on a given day.

Collect all Permit Books and Truck Keys from Drivers as they arrive from the field to ensure all documentation is current and accounted for.

Collect DVIR from any drivers as they arrive to ensure any mechanical issues are reported to both Dispatch and Maintenance to ensure a timely repair.

Review driver schedules against shift notes to ensure all drivers scheduled to work are accounted for and are on time.

Save all customer and vendor locations in Verizon GPS system to ensure all reports are accurate for payroll and billing.

Communicate as drivers are approaching their time limit to ensure work will be completed or if a relief will need to be coordinated.

Assure drivers are assigned to their correct truck in the Verizon GPS system.

Monitor driver hours to ensure all drivers are being rotated properly.
