JOB TITLE: Chief Engineer Technical Support Analyst JOB Description: General duties include technical engineering support to the Submarine Combat and Weapon Control System Program Office, providing direct support to the PMS425 Chief Engineer with technical oversight and direction to the integration of BYG-1 Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Applications. You will perform technical reviews on submittals including drawings, system diagrams, technical manual, test/install procedures, test results, contract deliverable reviews, delivery milestones. You will troubleshoot, analyze, and determine operating problems, make appropriate recommendations and changes to correct deficiencies in coordination with the program CHENG and Technical Direction Agent (TDA) team. You will provide technical concurrence for the NDI applications in support of entrance into formal test and delivery milestones LOCATION: NUWC, Newport, RI SUPPORTING: TSUB Combat Systerms PMS 425 JOB CATEGORY: Full-Time SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree in technical, engineering, or cybersecurity field. o 10 or more years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field.
o 5 or more years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs.
o 2+ years of experience with Navy Engineering Support.
• Preferred Qualifications:
o Master's Degree in technical, engineering, or cybersecurity field.
o 15 or more years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field.
o 10 or more years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs.
o Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
o Experience with Navy, or DOD, Acquisition programs.
o Experience with Navy, or DoD, Test and Evaluation programs.
o Experience with US Navy Submarines or Navy combat systems.
o Experience with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) programs and processes.
o Experience or familiarity with the BYG-1 submarine combat system.
o Experience with Agile software development.
o Microsoft Project experience.
