As an Intervention Specialist at NewStory Schools, you will create structured, engaging, and individualized learning experiences that help students build essential academic, social, and behavioral skills. You will guide a small classroom environment, deliver instruction aligned with each student's IEP, and collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to support meaningful growth. This role will not include shared classrooms which allows you to truly know your students and run a predictable, structured classroom.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License or Alternative Resident Educator License
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and school teams
- Dedication to inclusive, student-centered instruction and behavioral support
- Comfortable with challenging behaviors and openness to learning support strategies
- Lead a small manageable and self-contained classroom and provide individualized, hands-on daily instruction
- Collaborate with other special education professionals and disciplines to work effectively with each student
- Plan and teach lessons aligned with each student's IEP goals
- Assess academic, behavioral, and social growth and adjust instruction using data
- Partner with families, support staff, and service providers to coordinate student support
- Maintain clear documentation to support compliance and progress monitoring
