Location: HEALTH CARE CENTER BRFDepartment: HealthSummary:POSITION OVERVIEWThe Quality Improvement Specialist focuses on the review, evaluation and implementation of quality improvement activities and projects in compliance with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) standards related to the sustainment of the Department of Health's accreditation by these agencies. The Quality Improvement Specialist also reviews and evaluates compliance with federal, state and tribal regulations, such as HIPAA security & privacy rules, 42 CFR Part 136 and WI DHS statutes.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION:1. Bachelor degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, Business, mathematics, statistics or related field is required.2. Current National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification or obtain CPHQ certification within two (2) years of employment.ESSENTIAL:1. Valid driver's license, dependable transportation and proper insurance.2. Must promote a healthy, non-abusive lifestyle.3. Possess strong analytical thinking, multi-tasking, organizational time management skills.4. Ability to write comprehensive reports, speak and interact clearly and professionally.EXPERIENCE:1. A minimum of four (4) years health care environment experience with two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
