Security Officer - Part Time - 2nd Shift
Security Officers at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming will help maintain a safe and secure environment for all team members and guests.
Essential duties and responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of the team members and guests, assisting in transporting money, controlling access to restricted areas, reacting to guest and team member incidents and accidents, monitoring passage in and out of the gaming facility, and responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards. May answer incoming calls to the facility and direct calls or answer patron questions. May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that require a valid Driver's License. Other duties as assigned.
Required skills and abilities include maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel, oral and written communication skills, and knowledge of Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
Education and experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to obtain a valid racing license. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Physical requirements and working conditions include sitting or standing, walking, using hands to finger, reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The team member is subjected to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
