Senior System Security Administrator
HCRC is seeking a Senior System Security Administrator to join our team and contribute to the success of our mission-critical security operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, resilient professional with a strong background in InfoSec/IT Security, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess IT and system risks in complex operational environments
- Interpret and apply information security policies, standards, and regulations including NIST 800-53 Rev 5, FISCAM, FISMA, and others
- Provide support for FISMA-related activities and ensure compliance with federal security mandates
- Lead and mentor a team of system security administrators
- Manage access and account controls while supporting IT service delivery
- Provide expert advice in security architecture and risk mitigation strategies
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to address security issues
- Remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during high-priority and sensitive situations
- Multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related science field (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in InfoSec/IT Security roles, including at least 2 years of FISMA-related experience
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- CompTIA A+
- Strong working knowledge of federal security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, DOD, DCID, FBI)
- Experience in IT customer support, including account and access management
- Proven team leadership and personnel management capabilities
