Senior Security Officer

Our work depends on a Security Officer Senior Principal to serve in support of defense and security efforts. You will provide expert-level security assistance to the Special Security Officer (SSO) and Special Security Representatives (SSRs), ensuring theater-readiness and the ability to rapidly scale security operations during China-related crisis surges.

Responsibilities:

  • SCI Access Control: Control and manage access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) materials and facilities (SCIFs), including certifying and receiving visitor clearances.
  • Security Indoctrination: Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, and debriefings for military, government, and contractor personnel.
  • Administrative Oversight: Facilitate the courier badging process and obtain signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Compliance Auditing: Perform detailed audits of classified material and conduct formal inspections of SCIFs, storage facilities, and containers.
  • Surge Capability Planning: Develop preemptive plans for mass indoctrination and security management to support rapid onboarding during contingency operations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with the customer to ensure seamless security integration and mission-critical asset protection.
  • Policy & Reporting: Research and prepare classified material policy recommendations, management reports, and technical assessments.

What You'll Need To Succeed:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
  • On Customer Site

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree with 12 yrs related experience or Bachelor's degree with a total of 17 yrs experience as a substitute to the Master's degree. At least a portion of your experience must be in the last 2 yrs.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience assisting SSOs/SSRs with the control and dissemination of SCI materials.
  • Expertise in managing SCIF access and conducting formal security inspections.
  • Ability to support a 72-hour response timeline for emerging requirements during crisis surges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with defense security protocols and customer mission requirements.
  • Experience in strategic security planning for large-scale military or intelligence organizations.

The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: Less than 10%
