Intelligence Analyst I

ASRC Federal Technical Solutions, LLC is looking for an Intelligence Analyst I to join their team in the DC Metro area. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to the IRS Criminal Investigation Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts blockchain-based analysis following seizures and confirms related transaction activity.
  • Will learn how to assist in preparing seizure memoranda and reports.
  • Creates wallet addresses for seizures as needed, securely capture private keys or seed phrases, and transfer digital assets to and from government-controlled wallets.
  • Has the expertise in digital asset management and blockchain technology for both pre-seizure and post-seizure processes
  • Maintain current knowledge of digital asset trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices
  • Advise on blockchain innovations and emerging platforms that may impact the valuation and disposal of seized and forfeited assets.
  • Monitor and track the movement of digital assets across government platforms, identifying and mitigating discrepancies or irregularities. Lead or participate in special projects related to digital asset management, security, technology trends, and program modernization.

Requirements:

  • The Intelligence Analyst I must possess a BA/BS degree plus two years of experience.
  • The individual in the position must be a United States Citizen and must be able to read, write, understand, and speak common English.
  • Experience in conducting blockchain-based analysis following seizures and confirm related transaction activity, and familiarity with cryptocurrency tracing, blockchain explorers, and blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis or similar).
  • Proficiency in digital asset platforms, distributed ledger tools, and crypto-investigative utilities for use in the seizure of digital assets. Deep understanding of blockchain technology, ability to analyze digital asset transactions, determine financial impact, and resolve discrepancies. Occasional travel may be required.
  • US Citizenship and ability to pass and maintain a high-risk public trust background investigation required.
  • Candidate will need to attend the digital forensics training offered through Cyber and Forensics Services.
