JOB SUMMARYThe Shop Floor Dispatcher orders, delivers, moved and places materials within the plant as scheduled. Sorts and distributes bill of materials and drawings. Responsible for revisions, corrections, deletions and additions to work bill and drawings. Detects critical needs, advises planners and supervisors. Insures accurate computer inventory records of material usage.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafety: Uphold all safety protocols and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment5S: Maintain clean, organized work areasReceive assignments and instructions from supervisor - both verbal and written.Able to request, locate, move and deliver needed partsAble to retrieve consumables, shop supplies and kanban itemsUnderstands part shortage and can address or fulfillAble to update area's schedules and utilize schedule in order to prep partsKnowledgeable and able to use associated SAP functionsTrain new operatorsDistributes bills of material to proper work centersProcesses engineering change orders, non-conformance reports and defective material reportsUpdate schedules, and expedites short parts as requiredInforms planner/supervisor of variances, needs and opportunitiesReports on material usage, audits the exception reportsVerifies completeness of assemblies and routes to next userMaintains queue areas, buffers and monitors work in process as it pertains to the manufacturing schemeKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESOperate forklifts, hand trucks and other powered industrial vehicles as requiredProficiency with hand toolsAttention to detail and with the ability to interpret complex technical drawingsTeam-oriented mindset with strong communication skillsCommitment to safety, precision, craftsmanshipAll materials and components used throughout the plant.
