This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced AI systems that support critical missions for the U.S. Government. As a Member of Technical Staff, you will engage in model experimentation, infrastructure development, and deployment within high-assurance environments, collaborating directly with strategic partners to ensure mission success. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy agentic AI systems that transition from prototype to production, supporting impactful U.S. Government missions.
  • Design and integrate large language model (LLM) applications, including multi-agent systems, tool-using agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, and human-in-the-loop autonomy.
  • Collaborate with government partners in forward-deployed settings to translate mission requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data curation and evaluation pipelines for model training and enhancement.
  • Create infrastructure for model inference, experimentation, evaluation, and deployment across frontier AI platforms.
  • Manage AI systems throughout their lifecycle, including discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, reliability, security, and iteration.
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, partner-facing environments with technical and operational ownership.
  • Strong proficiency in Python with experience in end-to-end ownership of projects.
  • Experience with LLMs and the development of agentic systems.
  • Proficient in building or maintaining data pipelines and machine learning infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning workflows or simulation environments.
  • Comfortable working in high-security and high-reliability environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government, defense, intelligence, or national security missions.
  • Previous experience in a startup, defense organization, Department of War, or technology company focused on government solutions.
  • Background in fast-paced startup environments or mission-critical government settings.
Work Terms

Full-time position with a hybrid work model based in Washington, D.C.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $200, 000 to $500, 000, with eligibility for equity compensation and performance-based bonuses.
