Job Details Job Location: Stratford, CT 06615Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 HourlyDispatcher We are currently looking for a Dispatcher who will coordinate the operations of the bus fleet and other vehicles. You will be accountable for establishing and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with transportation employees, school staff, parents, and the community.Responsibilities Developing bus routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the dayCollaborating with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of clientsActing as a communication liaison with drivers on the road and answering incoming phone calls from parents and schoolsCultivating strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last‑minute schedule changesMonitoring any sudden route changes or road construction issues and working with drivers to establish new routes for timely pick‑up/drop offPlanning, scheduling, and assigning driver personnel for transportation vehicle operationsDispatching while coordinating routes and stops for student ridesReceiving and dispatch routes and tracking/updating call logs and dataKeeping clear and accurate recordsDelivering superior customer service to all internal and external customersOther duties as needed to get the work done successfullyWhat matters most for this role You have a strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate areaCompleted a High School diploma/GED2+ years of transportation experience is desired, but not requiredWillingness to work in a diverse organization with many high‑pressure situationsYou learn quickly and have professional written and oral communication skillsWhat we will offer Sunrise Transportation strives to enrich the lives of our team and offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to eligible employees.
