The CCMD SME provides authoritative expertise in joint operations and exercise design to support USSTRATCOM's full-spectrum exercise and wargame program. The selected candidate bridges operational experience with exercise execution, ensuring that USSTRATCOM Tier 1 exercises accurately replicate CCMD-level operations, decision-making processes, and orders development from national-level direction through unit execution.
● Provide on-site subject matter expertise in Combatant Command operations, national-level decision making processes, the joint planning process, and the orders development process in direct support of USSTRATCOM exercise planning and execution. ● Support the planning, design, and execution of joint exercises and wargames across all phases of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), including Concept Development, Initial Planning, Main Planning, Final Planning, and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) conferences. ● Assist in developing, coordinating, and managing exercise plans of action and milestones (POA&M) to track key actions and deliverable dates across each designated event life cycle. ● Develop and review MSEL injects, scenario storylines, and exercise products to accurately portray CCMD-level operations, authorities, and decision-making processes. ● Apply professional military education in strategy and joint planning to ensure exercises achieve defined training objectives and accurately replicate operational environments. ● Coordinate and liaise with USSTRATCOM component commands, JFACC, JFMCC, and other CCMD elements to synchronize exercise scenario development and execution. ● Participate in After-Action Reviews (AARs) and contribute to lessons learned reports following exercise events. ● Provide expert support during exercise execution in the role of White Cell, Opposing Force, or other assigned exercise control functions as required. ● Assist in producing post-exercise analysis and assessment products documenting training audience performance against established objectives.
