Position DispatcherLocation Holland, OHJob Id 1944Number of Openings 2Overview Velocity is seeking to hire Dispatchers to act as a communication point for Velocity Field Technicians and customers. The Dispatch Coordinators receive requests, transmit messages, and schedule technicians from the Velocity database to customer sites. This role involves verifying arrivals, negotiating pricing with technicians, and following up on scheduled appointments.Responsibilities Dispatch jobs sent to us from our customers to the technicians in our database.Schedule appointments for the jobs with the technicians.Work with customers to gain access to job sites as required.Verify that technicians are not missing their appointments.Recruit technicians for current and/or future jobs.Coordinate obtaining “special” equipment for job sites for technicians to use.Qualifications Have a High school diploma or GEDCan work one weekend day each weekExcellent telephone etiquette and confidence in speaking with people over the telephoneKnowledge of networking principles and technologiesEnjoy meeting the needs of customersWell organizedProficient with Microsoft Excel and OutlookLike to negotiateSkills/Abilities Ability to work as part of a team, but succeed on individual tasksAbility to learn Velocity's custom portals and systemsConsistently maintain a polite, professional, patient and courteous manner with callers, visitors and all employeesWork Schedule Onsite training at our Holland, OH office location.
