RMantra Solutions is seeking a cleared Network Technician to support critical defense operations at Hill AFB. You will join our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team to provide 24/7/365 real‑time monitoring, fault isolation, and network restoration services. This role sits at the front lines of maintaining vital Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) infrastructure and requires a proactive approach to handling network incidents.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Monitoring & Incident Management: Monitor network events and element management failures globally on a 24/7/365 basis using multiple monitoring tools.Ticket Management: Create, update, track, and monitor incident tickets within ServiceNow from creation through resolution.Fault Isolation: Diagnose and troubleshoot systems, hardware, software, circuits, and facilities to locate the root cause of network issues.Incident Correlation: Analyze alarms proactively to filter, correlate, and isolate root causes of complex infrastructure faults.Restoration & Fault Correction – Service Restoration: Restore networks to full operation, executing circuit reroutes and normalization due to outages, degradations, or Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs).Circuit Rerouting: Reroute routine circuits within 24 hours of notification and document changes in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external service providers to replace faulty elements and track service restoration to meet strict DISN Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Verification: Confirm total service restoration with customers before closing out tickets.Communication & Leadership Support – Situational Awareness: Provide timely, high‑level situational awareness updates to leadership and impacted user communities using approved communication channels.Escalation Management: Handle fault escalations and status updates seamlessly between Tier 1 and Tier 2 support levels.Collaboration: Work directly under the guidance of the Shift Lead and O&M leadership while providing technical insight to peers and customers.Training Support: Assist in training Network Controllers, evaluate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and provide constructive feedback on O&M tools.QualificationsSecurity Clearance: Must possess an active U.S. Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.DoD 8570 Compliance: Must hold an active DoD 8570 IAT LevelII baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, or equivalent) valid on your start date.Operations Flexibility: Absolute ability to support a continuous 24/7/365 shift work schedule.Network Experience: Demonstrated experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, performance management, or LAN maintenance.Topologies: General understanding of both transport and IP network topologies.Technical Expertise: Must possess hands‑on proficiency in three or more of the following technologies: Cisco / Juniper routers and switches; Routing protocols and crypto devices; DSN / DRSN and Video Services; Promina, MSPP, DWDM, or Optical Switching.Education & Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) combined with 2–4 years of direct network technician experience.
