About the roleDirector of Asset Strategy will lead a team responsible for airframe and engine asset planning. This role oversees inventory planning, analysis and management, asset valuations for acquisitions, optimal sales pricing, global inventory execution, market trend analysis for current and potential asset types, and recommendations for business changes as needed.What You Will DoMarket, Asset Strategy and ValuationsDevelop a deep understanding of market dynamics and trends to inform asset strategy and business recommendationsManage and update valuation models as needed in response to market changesReview and approve asset valuations for acquisition opportunitiesCritically analyze assets to identify optimal configuration, condition, and commercial positioningPricing, Forecasting and Performance ManagementDevelop and manage pricing strategy for existing and potential inventory, including defining and monitoring inventory by sales velocityDevelop sales forecasts for inventory, measure performance against plan and respond to variances by asset type using back-testing methodologyMeasure and report asset performance monthly, identify areas of focus, review metrics with management and assign action itemsMaintain SOX compliance for the pricing, forecasting, and back-testing processes.Inventory Planning and Lifecycle ManagementDetermine optimal inventory levels and global placement to meet customer demandUse market insight to support asset planning in coordination with Sales and Acquisitions, including current and future customer demand and market availabilityIdentify components and drive speculative purchases to supplement inventory and meet unique customer requirementsDetermine and manage new product entry and existing inventory exit strategiesControls, Policies and ComplianceAnalyze inventory through SOX-compliant processes to support quarterly impairment reviewsReview and approve disassembly reconciliationsDetermine and oversee policies for pricing, credits, sales adjustments, warranties and exchangesWhat You Need to SucceedEducational/ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent related aviation experienceAsset management experience in the aviation industry, preferably in the USM marketExcellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and financialStrong oral and written communication skillsLeadership experience with a proven ability to manage people and lead a team responsible for Asset Strategy and ManagementProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; advanced Excel skills preferredHighly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, responsibilities, and competing prioritiesCustomer-focused approach with a strong track record of supporting internal and external stakeholdersStrong presentation and facilitation skillsProven ability to collaborate across functions to resolve business challengesStrong interpersonal skillsWilling and able to travel, including on short notice#J-18808-Ljbffr
