Shift Information

  • 1:30pm-10:00pm
  • Weekends Required

Position Summary

At a U.S. aviation service warehouse, a Gate Guard plays a critical role in securing the facility's entrance and exit, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles gain access, and maintaining order and safety for employees, visitors, and aircraft operations.

Gate Guard Requirements

  • Badge all visitors before allowing access to the warehouse.
  • Verify and question all individuals requesting entry.
  • Monitor and control access to ensure site security.
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Verify personnel, vehicles, and documentation using paperwork and computer applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of entries and exits.
  • Follow all company security procedures and access control protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older • A valid government issued worker's permit • Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen • Ability to obtain a SIDA Badge and USPS Certification • High school diploma or GED required • Authorized to work in the U.S. – We Use eVerify

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to maintain constant awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic in an active airport environment.
  • Ability to use a computer, tablet, radio, and other communication devices.
  • Ability to read badges, identification cards, manifests, and other documents accurately.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, visitors, drivers, and airport personnel.
