Loss Prevention Officer
Immediate opening for a full-time Loss Prevention Officer - $21/hr
Job description:
- Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of closed circuit TV cameras
- Report writing
- Interacting with local law enforcement as needed
- Provide courtroom testimony as required
Job requirement:
- Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
- Must be able to get license through Columbia PD
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
- Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
- Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
- Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
- Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
- Previous loss prevention or law enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Criminal justice or related studies a plus- high school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
