As the organization continues to expand its federal portfolio, they are seeking a Quality Control Manager who can uphold the highest standards of construction quality, regulatory compliance, and project execution. Description The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the project's Quality Control Program from preconstruction through closeout. Acting as the primary quality representative on site, this individual will ensure that all work complies with project specifications, federal requirements, and established quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Manage and administer the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Program in accordance with USACE requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans and procedures. Conduct and document preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections on all definable features of work. Coordinate with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation for quality assurance and compliance. Monitor field activities to verify workmanship, materials, and construction practices meet required standards. Maintain accurate quality control records, reports, inspection logs, testing documentation, and deficiency tracking systems. Manage third-party inspections, testing agencies, and commissioning activities. Identify, document, and resolve quality issues and non-conformances in a timely manner. Participate in project meetings with owners, government agencies, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Support project safety initiatives and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards and project-specific safety requirements. Assist with project closeout activities, punch list management, and final acceptance procedures. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence across the project team. Profile The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented construction professional with extensive experience managing quality control programs on large federal construction projects. They possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of government construction standards and requirements. Required qualifications and experience: Proven experience serving as a Quality Control Manager on large-scale, ground-up federal construction projects. Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification for Contractors. Comprehensive knowledge and working experience with EM 385-1-1 requirements. Strong understanding of USACE, DoD, and federal construction standards and specifications. Experience managing Contractor Quality Control (CQC) programs on projects valued at $20M+ preferred. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract documents. Experience coordinating inspections, testing programs, and quality documentation processes. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms. Ability to work collaboratively with owners, government representatives, subcontractors, and project teams. Willingness and ability to travel nationally, or work locally in Cheyenne, Wyoming, depending on project assignment. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Additional federal construction certifications and training.
