Our client is seeking a Surveillance & Access Control Technician to join their team. As a Surveillance & Access Control Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Support Department supporting security systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Surveillance & Access Control Technician
Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
What's the Job?
Support and maintain surveillance, network, and server systems across multiple locations.
Document system configurations, updates, and project tracking for ongoing management.
Provide tactical and strategic input on system planning and related projects.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment including routers and switches.
Support web filtering solutions such as Palo Alto and Zscaler, ensuring network security and performance.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 3 years' experience with Cisco networking (routers & switches).
1 to 2 years' experience with web filtering technologies like Palo Alto & Zscaler.
1 to 2 years' experience with video surveillance systems supporting network, server, and workstation environments.
Willingness to work on-site at multiple facilities, including secure locations.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating creativity, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills.
