Surveillance & Access Control Technician

Our client is seeking a Surveillance & Access Control Technician to join their team. As a Surveillance & Access Control Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Support Department supporting security systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid

Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion

What's the Job?

  • Support and maintain surveillance, network, and server systems across multiple locations.
  • Document system configurations, updates, and project tracking for ongoing management.
  • Provide tactical and strategic input on system planning and related projects.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment including routers and switches.
  • Support web filtering solutions such as Palo Alto and Zscaler, ensuring network security and performance.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Cisco networking (routers & switches).
  • 1 to 2 years' experience with web filtering technologies like Palo Alto & Zscaler.
  • 1 to 2 years' experience with video surveillance systems supporting network, server, and workstation environments.
  • Willingness to work on-site at multiple facilities, including secure locations.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating creativity, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills.
