To lead cybersecurity incident response efforts, the part-time Incident Commander will manage and coordinate all response activities during major cyber events, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.Key responsibilitiesDirect and manage incident response activities for high-impact cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware and data breachesEstablish response priorities, coordinate technical investigations, and oversee containment and recovery actionsTranslate complex technical findings into actionable business information and deliver executive briefings on incident statusRequired qualificationsExtensive experience leading cybersecurity incident response operations in enterprise or critical infrastructure environmentsStrong knowledge of incident handling methodologies, cyber attack lifecycles, and breach managementExceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate crisis communicationsExperience coordinating forensic investigations and threat intelligence activitiesPreferred certifications include CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CISM, or equivalent industry-recognized certifications
