Leading the design and implementation of the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) component for a child protection evaluation, the part-time Case-based Causal Methods Lead Consultant will provide methodological expertise and generate evidence on UNICEF's strategies to prevent and respond to violence against children and women, working remotely for a six-month consultancy period.Key responsibilitiesDesign and implement the QCA component of the evaluation, focusing on causal questions through a programme theory-based approachProvide methodological leadership for reporting and dissemination of results, ensuring alignment with other evaluation componentsGenerate cross-nationally comparable evidence on the outcomes of UNICEF's child protection systems strengthening strategyRequired qualificationsAdvanced university degree (Master's or higher) in Political Science, Statistics, Public Policy, or related fields with a quantitative methods specializationMinimum 10 years of experience in designing and applying QCA in international development or complex evaluationsExperience working with the UN system or international organizationsProven track record of leading multi-country comparative studiesFluency in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
