Job Details: Role: MuleSoft Developer Location: Remote Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job Summary: As an US Citizen, having an Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance ,our client Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency has a mission critical responsibility for the operations and maintenance of 9 applications related to the Background Investigation Enterprise Systems (BIES) which collectively capture, process and retain the background investigations for US personnel seeking clearance approvals for a broad range of access needs. The program enables the modernization efforts to eliminate outdated hardware and software by migrating these 9 systems to a secure cloud environment and modernizing the software code that tracks and retains critical personnel information necessary to qualify government and program or workforce to access sensitive information. Task Description: Design and build MuleSoft APIs and integration flows using Mule 4 and Anypoint Studio to connect enterprise systems and data sources. Implement data transformations and mappings using DataWeave, including handling XML, JSON, CSV, and custom payload formats. Develop, test, debug, and optimize integration services, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to integration best practices. Configure, deploy, and manage Mule applications on CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or on-prem Mule runtimes. Required skills/Level of Experience: Develop MuleSoft APIs (System, Process, and Experience layers) using Any point Studio and Any point Platform. Build and maintain integration flows using Mule 4 and associated connectors. Work with RAML/OAS specifications and implement APIs using API-led integration best practices. Implement transformations using DataWeave. Integrate with databases, SaaS applications, legacy systems, and cloud services. Develop unit tests, mock services, and reusable components. Familiarity with secure data exchange and authentication protocols. Experience with containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Bachelors in CS, IS, or related field Required Clearance: Top Secret Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ Nice to have skills: 2+ years integrating legacy systems with modern platforms. Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka). Familiarity with federal data security and governance standards. Certification in integration
